WESTERLY, R.I.–Westerly Community Credit Union has awarded 21 WCCU Teacher Grants for a total of more than $9,000 for the 2023/24 school year.
Westerly Community CU said it awarded teacher grants to teachers from the Coventry, Exeter-West Greenwich, Narragansett, South Kingstown, Stonington, and Westerly school districts. To date, WCCU has awarded more than $63,300 in teacher grants.
The recipients included:
- Pamela Betres, Maria Boulmetis, Andrew Gervasini, Cynthia Ballard, Kristin Abood and Alexandria McKay of the Coventry School District
- Robin Borges and Matthew Savoie of the Exeter-West Greenwich School District
- Zachary Sirowich, Kristen Bryce, Linda McQuaide, Kayla Tobin and Kimberly O’Donnell of the Narragansett School District
- Amber Horton Lambert and Tiffany Court of the South Kingstown School District
- Laura Dow, Elaine Temel and Diane Gallo of the Stonington School District
- Elizabeth Scheibl, Bea Lukens and Susan Russell of the Westerly School District
