evolve CU Supports Spring Break at the Movies

EL PASO, Texas-- evolve FCU hosted its annual “Spring Break at the Movies” event throughout March.

For the past three years evolve has hosted private movie screenings for some of the local children’s organizations. This year was no exception as evolve said it was able to host seven private screenings at Cinemark throughout the month.

ach screening included up to 50 movie tickets with a Refreshment drink, popcorn and a candy of choice for each person. The film that was shown for the screenings Kung Fu Panda 4.

The first Spring Break at the Movies screening kicked off with two screenings with the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence and the El Paso Children Miracle Network. The third screening took place where the Child Crisis Center took their little ones for a great time at the movies. The families from Candlelighters enjoyed their screening, and the last two screenings took place where the bigs and littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters and the families and children from Make-A-Wish enjoyed their own movie screenings, respectively.

“The bigs and littles loved it, and the families were very grateful for the private screenings as they don’t get to do outings like that often,” evolve said. “It was a perfect way to end the month and enjoy the Easter weekend.”

“For many of the kids that attended these private screenings, it was their first time attending a movie theater because for many of these families, it is out of their financial means or some of the children need special care due to medical reasons,” the credit union continued. “This event wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful staff at Cinemark Cielo Vista 14 & XD, their corporate offices and the management and amazing staff at the theater.”
