iTHINK Community Foundation Raises $5k

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – The iTHINK Community Foundation hosted the 5th Annual Kilometers for our Community Virtual 5K, with more than $5,000 raised for the Foundation.

The mission of the iTHINK Community Foundation is to improve the lives of children and families in the communities iTHINK CU serves. All proceeds raised were donated directly to the Foundation and used to support their causes like local scholarship awards and school supplies for children in need.

The Virtual 5K registration was open for runners and walkers. All members of the community were welcome to participate or donate. Participants could run or walk at their own pace and at their own time and cross their virtual finish line. With a $35 donation, registrants received a commemorative running shirt. Registrants also had the opportunity to pay $5 to enter a drawing to win an Apple Watch. One participant was randomly chosen and won the Apple Watch.

“We support and love the communities we serve in and want to better the lives of the people living here,” said Stephen Johnson, director of the iTHINK Community Foundation. “This was a great opportunity for community members and employees to get active! It was also a chance to donate funds to improving lives. Running for our community was such a memorable experience.”
