WASHINGTON—Credit unions will continue to benefit from the relatively strong economy in 2019, but CU performance could revert toward longer-term trends in coming months, according to the latest CUNA Economic and Credit Union Forecast for January 2019.

ARLINGTON, Va.–The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) has told NCUA it cannot support the agency’s fidelity bond proposal, arguing it will burden federal credit unions and federally insured state-charted credit unions, confuse directors’ understanding of their proper role, increase operating costs, and discourage qualified candidates from serving on credit union boards.

INDIANAPOLIS – Board members and officers of the Indiana Credit Union Foundation were recently elected, and they have begun working on initiatives for 2019, the Foundation said.
