WASHINGTON—With rumors circulating in Washington overnight that a 10% credit card interest rate cap could be offered Thursday as an amendment during the House Financial Services Committee’s full markup, the Defense Credit Union Council sent a letter to the Committee urging lawmakers to reject any such proposal.

WASHINGTON--The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Trump v. Cook Wednesday, a lawsuit to determine whether Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook can remain in her position while the lower courts determine if President Donald Trump’s August 2025 removal was “for cause.” 

WASHINGTON--Thirty small credit union leaders from across the country will elevate the voices of their counterparts in America’s Credit Unions newly launched Small Credit Union Advocacy Advisory Panel. The panel members, announced Wednesday, will also strengthen advocacy efforts on the issues that matter most to small credit unions, ACU said.
