ONTARIO, Calif.—As CUToday.info was the first to report, the California and Nevada CU Leagues have confirmed that it will become a plaintiff in a class-action lawsuit filed against Home Depot over a 2014 data breach.
More than 50 million cards are believed to have been compromised in the breach, with CUNA estimating the cost to credit unions to replace member cards at nearly $60 million. Numerous credit unions across the country have also joined the suit as plaintiffs, and CUNA has also indicated it has been in discussions with attorneys in the case.
